Ghost of Yōtei is being made by Sucker Punch Productions – a US-based team of developers that have been part of PlayStation Studios since 2011. As well as creating the award-winning Ghost of Tsushima and its Iki Island expansion, they also made the Sly Cooper and Infamous series, and have been developing incredible games since 1997.

Join the ranks of excited fans teased with the sequel to the Ghost of Tsushima series, now titled Ghost of Yotei. While some may have been hoping for a direct continuation of Jin Sakai’s story in Ghost of Tsushima 2, the introduction of a new protagonist brings a fresh perspective, much like Sucker Punch did with Infamous: Second Son. Set over 300 years after the original, Ghost of Yotei takes place around Mount Yōtei and follows Atsu, a female samurai, as the new lead. Although few details have been shared, a 2025 release date has been announced. Whether it’s a new wolf companion, dual-wielding swords, or Mythic Tales to fill the gaps, Ghost of Yotei promises to deliver another unforgettable experience.

Sixteen years after her family’s death, Atsu’s quest across Ezo brings her to unexplored lands in search of a gang of six outlaws, but she finds much more than vengeance.

Throughout her journey, Atsu will discover unlikely allies, and greater bonds than she could have imagined.
